Atasca Portuguese Restaurant
50 Hampshire Street, Cambridge, MA 02139
February 2016
It is with mixed feelings that we announced that Atasca Restaurant will be closing for business in late May 2016. After 21 years, there is no easy way to extend our gratitude to our wonderful patrons. Over time we have recognized that our service has not only joined families and friends, but brought Portuguese cuisine to the next level. We will miss our regulars, bringing smiles to hungry faces, and being part of others’ memories.
Atasca Restaurant has been sold to Chris Schlesinger of East Coast Grill and David Cagle of BSide Lounge and Green Street Grill. We trust that they will continue to bring great food quality, fine cuisine, and the perfect dining experience. Being part of this Cambridge community has been an honor, a pleasure, and a dream come true. We opened a small restaurant in 1995, fulfilling a lifelong dream of ours, never thinking that it would lead to 21 years of successful business.
We close our doors thanking the City of Cambridge, the Portuguese community, our dear friends and families, and our dedicated staff over the years. We hope that you can keep your memories of Atasca close and dear to your heart, as we will.
Regards,
Joe & Maria Cerqueira
